In what area of law do you practice and why did you choose this?

Family Law – my mother is a family attorney and I learned to love the practice.

What would you be doing if you weren’t a lawyer?

I love math and would probably be an accountant.

What do you like best about practicing law at H&J?

The Family Law department is super supportive and H&J feels like a smaller firm while being fairly large.

What is the best career advice you have received?

Be confident in what you know and always ask questions for what you don’t!

What is the strangest legal question you have ever been asked?

I was asked to draft a custody agreement and parenting time schedule for a couple’s dog.

What is an item on your bucket list?

Visit Thailand to hike and eat.

What is your favorite vacation spot?

Any beach where I can lay and do nothing.

What is your favorite Twin Cities restaurant?

Everest on Grand

When you are not working, what would people find you doing?

Spending time with my fiancé and cats.

What is your favorite part of practicing law?

Helping people through one of the toughest times in their lives.

Who is your hero?

My parents and Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

What might people be surprised to know about you?

I was a middle school math teacher before law school.

What is your strongest asset?

I am straightforward and do not sugarcoat information.
