“The inches we need are everywhere around us. They’re in every break of litigation, every document, every motion. On this team, we fight for every inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches, that’s going make the difference between winning and losing. -Al Pacino, “On Any Given Sunday” (the lawyer version).”

Jack F. Edell

When Hennepin County Bar Association awarded Jack its 2025 Outstanding New Lawyer Award, Jack stated in an interview with Minnesota Lawyer, “It comes back to, I want the best for my client. . . [H]aving a competitive drive to win, I think a trial attorney needs that drive to go the extra mile necessary to tip the scales.” Jack uses his competitive drive to tip the scales of every case he handles. Jack learned the ropes of litigation quickly, taking numerous matters to trial within his first years of practice. He is competitive by nature and leaves every ounce of commitment in the courtroom. His competitive drive is one thing, but what Jack’s clients say truly sets him apart is his empathy and compassion. “His professionalism, strategic insight, and empathetic service made all the difference,” said a litigation client working with Jack.

Jack represents businesses and individuals in litigation matters spanning diverse areas of law, including banking and lending, commercial and residential real estate transactions, construction litigation, business litigation, trademark litigation, repossession, contract disputes, and insurance coverage disputes. Since 2023, Jack has co-authored chapters in preeminent Minnesota Deskbooks on topics of priorities of insurance coverage and structured settlement agreements.

Jack also represents clients in a wide variety of non-litigation matters throughout the construction, real estate, and healthcare industries. In his non-litigation practice, Jack prides himself on providing timely and clear advice, so that his clients can focus on their own clients and helping provide their best services and products. Before starting his legal career, Jack worked for a medical device company utilizing his biochemistry degree from Saint John’s University.
